Czech Museum of Music  become part of the National Museum in 1984. The history of its collections goes back to 1913 when was established musical archive by musicologist and composer Emil Axman. The exhibitions are based in Prague and in other buildings which historically correspond to specific exhibited collection. The main building of the Czech Museum of Music is located at Prague (Karmelitská 2/4, Praha 1). In Prague are also the Antonín Dvořák Museum (Ke Karlovu 20, Praha 2), Bedřich Smetana Museum (Novotného lávka 1, Praha 1) and Jaroslav Ježek Memorial (Kaprova 10, Praha 1).
