Higher Technical School of Textile Crafts and Art Secondary School of Textile Crafts
The history of the school history itself cannot be thought of apart from longstanding creation of the school art collection .The oldest date from which the tuition of textile crafts is unwinding is the year 1767, when the Empress Marie Therese founded the first lace school.
Today the collection presents a unique set of textile pieces which documents the activity of school but also the history of Czech textile art. It includes nearly 2,900 exhibits with predominance of the representation of bobbin lace and embroidery.
The collection is constantly enlarging in recent years. The student's work is often presented to the public in Czech Republic and also in international exhibitions. International successes demonstrates that school lives up to the tradition.
