380 711 674

The museum resides in a building of a former Jesuit seminary – the oldest early baroque building in town. The first museum exposition here was opened in 1952. Permanent expositions show visitors the rich historic development of the town and the region from prehistory to the end of the 19th century, unique set of a baroque pharmacy equipment or ceramic model of Český Krumlov in scale 1:200. Part of the Regional museum is the Memorial Birth House of Adalbert Stifter in Horní Planá, mapping the life and works of this „poet of Šumava“. The museum will be enlarged by an outdoor station of experimental archeology on Křížový vrch above Český Krumlov.
