Museum of the Capital City of Prague

Museum of the Capital City of Prague was found in 1881. Its main task is to collect and protect monuments that are connected with history of Capital City of Prague and its inhabitants. Institution is located in Neo – Reanissance building designed by architect Antonín Balšánek which was bulit in Karlín (Na Poříčí 52) in year 1896 – 1898. The museum also takes care of another buildings in Prague. They are for example Ctěnice palace area, Müller Villa designed by Adolf Loos or some of the famous Prague towers (Petrin tower or both towers of Charles Bridge).  The most popular item of the permanent exhibition is Langweil model of Prague of years 1826 - 1837.
