Moravian Museum

Moravian museum, the second largest and as well the second oldest museum institution in Czech republic, was founded in July 1817 by emperor decree of František I. Its collections include over 6 million artifacts, which represent valuable material of natural and social sciences. Expect of collection and science activity, museum take place exhibitions, lectures, educational excursions. Museum is also engaged in youth education, and last but not least evinces book edition. Among the buildings and premises of museum belongs: Bishop´s Courtyard, Dietrichstein Palace, Palace of Noble Ladies, Anthropos Pavilion, Old Castle of Jevišovice, Castle Budišov and Memorial of Kralice Bible.
